Writing A Book To Make Money Method #2 - Using The Power Of The Internet
The "game" of making money by writing a book changed around five years ago. No longer is it a game of "try to hit a home run one-handed" but today anyone can reliably make money by writing a book. What's more, you can do it direct to your customers and don't need any pesky agents or pubishers to deal with.
Here's the best part though: you can even have others go out there and find customers so you don't have to.I'm not kidding when I saw that I have hundreds of people out there promoting by books for me.
What am I talking about? I'm talking about the "e-book". This is a book (usually non-fiction) in electronic format, usually a PDF. You can write it yourself (or hire others to help you) and then put it on a very basic web site. When people visit your site, some of them will go all the way and buy your book.
You get paid straight into your bank account or Paypal account. The more visitors you get to your site, the more money you make. You can get even more visitors by offering others a commission to sell your book. Because your costs of creating each extra book are zero (this is digital, remember) then you lose nothing by letting others sell your book and you only stand to win by making yet more sales.
Don't be put off by the idea that "owning a web site" and "accepting payments" is difficult. I used to think this but I was wrong. It is incredibly easy to do and you don't need any technical skills. And if you still think that writing a book is difficult then let me tell you something: if you can write an email to a friend then you can write a book. In fact, this "conversational" style is what sells best on the internet these days.
Are you ready to make an ebook and sit back as your affiliates send you sale after sale after sale, even in your sleep? Discover how anyone can make their own ebook and supporting website cheaply or for free, with little technical knowledge and be completed in a matter of hours by watching this video here: Adam Short Exposes The Myths Of Making Money With Ebooks.

Most people believe this is the only way to write a book. First you choose between fiction and non-fiction.
When it comes to writing fiction, everyone wants to be the next JK Rowling. She lived on practically nothing for years until she got her break and the rest is now history. She's not even a millionaire anymore - she's a billionaire!
Forget about this method. Do you realise how many fiction writers there are out there who want to make it big? Most of them cannot even get their manuscript read by agents and you can forget about going direct to publishers.
Trying to hit a home run with your novel is like trying to break into Hollywood. Extremely difficult and more to do with luck than how good your novel is and how hard you have worked.
When it comes to writing non-fiction, things work differently. You have a greater chance of getting your work published but there is a different obstacle in the way: "the expert reputation".
Unless you already have expert knowledge in a particular subject area and have a reputation for it then you do not stand much of a chance of getting your book published - agents and publishers simply won't look at you.
And as for trying to get yourself established as an expert in another subject area totally new to you and then getting published: forget it. By all means, try if you want but you will be wasting precious minutes of your life going down the wrong road.

I have a couple of blogs and experimenting with google adsense. I'm in for only a couple of months, so i actually thought the main thing i need is great traffic.
Things changed when one of my posts (not from this blog) went to reddit top 5. it then appeared at fark and delicious tops also. i had something like 60000 visitors in two days, and earned... well, a dollar or so.

that's the moment i started thiniking about optimizing my pages for adsense.
I already had ads with no borders, and colors were matching my template. i searched web for some answers, and did a couple of things. after that, my CTR increased about 20 times. unfortunately, at that moment traffic was quite low, but i still have some everyday income that is about 20 times higher. here are the simple steps:
- Instead of 468x15 Link Unit i put 300x250 Rectangle at the top of my page under it's header.
- I made links blue. Yes, people simply expect free links to be blue.
- I made ads urls color match text color.
If you're just geatting started, there's a simple formula for you to understand how to earn money with google adsense:
Revenue = Traffic * CTR * CPC
You probably understand what traffic means.
So CTR is Click Through rate, and it means how many of your visitors are clicking ads. It actually depends on how your site is adsense-optimized.
CPC is Cost Per Click. Different words have different costs. Some can be about $0,01, some are over $10.
